Tune in Monday at 7 PM as the Cedar Valley Chamber Festival, Iowa-born soprano Karen Holvik, and Jason Weinberger and the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony join forces for a concert of chamber delights. Included are: Walter Piston's Divertimento for 9 instruments; John Harbison's North and South (settings of the poetry of Elizabeth Bishop); Morton Gould's Benny's Gig, duos for clarinet and double bass written for Benny Goodman; Bohuslav Martinů's jazz ballet La revue de cuisine; and Samuel Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915, his setting of James Agee, sung by Ms. Holvik. The concert is part of IPR's Symphonies of Iowa series, produced and hosted by Jacqueline Halbloom.
