Republican U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley hosted a crowded town hall meeting in southeast Iowa's Lee County, where constituents aired concerns about his response to recent actions taken by the Trump administration.

Neuroscientists, including researchers at the University of Iowa, say psychedelic drugs may launch a new era in psychiatric treatment. Drugs like psilocybin mushrooms and MDMA could offer a new way to treat disorders ranging from depression and anxiety to chronic pain and PTSD.

Each year, the Iowa State Veterans Trust Fund can spend $500,000 on assisting veterans who apply for funds. This year, the fund ran out of money in October.
