Lyric's Oklahoma! ("a revelation") Saturday

The waving wheat will sure sound sweet when the Lyric Opera of Chicago performs Oklahoma! Saturday at noon. One critic calls the production "a joyous revelation, establishing beyond a doubt that Oklahoma! deserves this sort of stature and venue....  the score is is rich and lovely in its deceptively simple, thoroughly American-bred melodies.
