During Curt Snook’s 11 a.m. hour show, Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra’s director Jason Weinberger joins Iowa Public Radio’s Jacqueline Halbloom to discuss the WCFSO’s upcoming Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto performance on Saturday, Oct. 27. Dror Biran, one of Israel’s most admired and gifted pianists will also appear as a guest performer for the concert. The discussion will also include information about the pieces to be performed, Ingolf Dahl’s Quodlibet on American Folk Tunes and Folk Dances, Zoltan Kodaly’s Variations on a Hungarian Folksong, “The Peacock,” and Tchaikovsky’s Concerto for Piano no. 1 in B-Flat, Op. 23.
