She was a marathoner and a mountain climber, but when Dr. Terry Wahls was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, she faced a bedridden life.

This hour, we learn how she beat progressive MS.

In the year 2000, Dr. Terry Wahls joined the ranks of over two million people who live with MS today. As the disease became even more crippling, she decided to take her health into her own hands. This hour, Dr. Wahls tells her story captured in the new book, The Wahls Protocol: How I Beat Progressive MS Using Paleo Principles and Functional Medicine.

Dr. Wahls is the Assistant Chief of Staff at Iowa City VA Health Care and clinical professor of medicine at the University of Iowa.
