Join us and experience Orchestra Iowa’s musicians expansively soaring and thrilling in these masterworks for large string ensemble. Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis fuses renaissance England with early 20th century sensibilities, as Tchaikovsky writes some of his most passionate and memorable melodies in his Serenade for Strings.  Old meets new again, with a re-invention of Bizet’s music from his masterful opera. Tune in on Sunday, April 17 at 4 p.m. and again on Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m. for this Symphonies of Iowa broadcast!
