SOI Presents: OI Chamber's "A Point of Departure"

This week’s Symphony of Iowa features Orchestra Iowa’s Showcase Chamber “A Point of Departure” concert on Sunday, April 16 at 4 p.m. and Monday, April 17 at 7 p.m.

Six principal Orchestra Iowa musicians present a program of beautiful pieces for various small ensembles. Pulitzer Prize winner for music Caroline Shaw calls her string quartet Punctum “an exercise in nostalgia,” and Brahms’ Piano Quintet in F Minor is considered the crown of his chamber music. Tune in Sunday, April 16 at 4 p.m. and again on Monday, April 17 at 7 p.m. for IPR’s Symphonies of Iowa broadcast!
