Ritmocano makes listeners move

In this episode of IPR Studio One's "Java Blend," Iowa City Latin-jazz group Ritmocano brings infectious grooves and soaring solos to the stage in The Java House.

Latin jazz collective Ritmocano is an all-star lineup of the Iowa jazz community, headed by percussionist and UI instructor James Dreier. On Familia, Ritmocano’s most recent album, Drier demonstrates his abilities playing multiple percussive instruments, from the congas often found in Afro-Cuban music, to the Batá drums of West Africa.
