Remodeling Your Kitchen: Ask the Basic Questions

Jan 20, 2016

When it comes to remodeling your kitchen, there are lots of questions to ask about your lifestyle first. Home improvement expert Bill McAnally suggests consulting with a kitchen designer if you can, or at least doing your research.

“This is a case where a certified kitchen designer is really a good asset. They know the things that are up and coming and the things that were up and coming and didn’t work out so well. They’ll ask you the obvious questions – are you right handed or left handed, how tall are you?” McAnally says. “You want to try to think about the basics like ‘do I really like having to bend over to grab things?' 'How do I really want to organize this?'"

During this hour of Talk of Iowa, host Charity Nebbe talks with McAnally about installing new cabinets, flooring, and lighting, and planning a kitchen remodel. He also answers listener questions about their DIY projects.
