The Recliners celebrate Bob Dylan

Iowa City folk rock group The Recliners channels recent Nobel Prize winner Bob Dylan from The Java House stage in downtown Iowa City on this episode of IPR Studio One's "Java Blend."

Join the group in reminiscing on their favorite Dylan stories, moments, and most importantly, songs, by downloading the free podcast below.

The Recliners are a self-described “eclectic” rock band from Iowa City, formerly known as Lazy Boy and the Recliners.” In October of 2007, the band received a letter from lawyers representing the La-Z-Boy Furniture Company informing them that their use of the name “Lazy Boy and the Recliners” was a violation of the company’s trademark rights. Following receipt of this cease and desist order and much conversation with our crack team of legal advisors, the band eventually agreed to change its name to “The Recliners”. Originally formed by Paul McCray and Kevin Hanick in the late 90s, the group has been together for almost 21 years.
