When Alex Sheen’s dad died he made a promise to do something to keep his father’s legacy alive.

That promise has taken him to places he never could have imagined.

In this episode of Talk of Iowa, host Charity Nebbe talks with Alex Sheen, founder of “Because I said I would” about his journey and the power of a promise.

“The importance of a promise is much greater than just the little things in life; it spans every piece of our existence," Sheen says.

Later in the hour Kate Arends inspires people in a different way. With her blog “Wit and Delight,” a very active Pinterest presence and a quirky twitter feed, she has millions of followers over a multiple online platforms and a new limited edition product line with Target.
