Job Prospects for College Graduates

May 2, 2011

The latest U.S. Labor Department numbers suggest that job prospects continue to improve.  We'll examine the employment landscape with Kathy Wieland of Iowa State University's College of Business and Steve Kravinsky with ISU's College Liberal Arts and Sciences Department. Plus a conversation with ISU student Kathy Vitzhum.  Vitzthum has taken at least one class every semester since 1992. On May 7th the 48-year-old Vitzthum graduates summa cum laude. She has achieved her goal -- a bachelor's degree in accounting -- after juggling family and career with finals and papers for 19 years.
