Robin Williams' death earlier this week sparked many stories of how he touched the lives of his fans and the people he met.
Today on River to River, Iowa Public Radio's Rick Fredericksen tells us about a day he spent with Robin Williams on the set of Good Morning Vietnam, back in 1987. In the movie, Williams played a disc jockey at the American Forces Vietnam Network—the same unit where Fredericksen worked in Saigon.
"We're always indebted to him; we're so sorry the ways things happened," Fredericksen said. "It feels like another military casualty of one of our own."
