Iowa's "Red Cedar" on Performance Today

Tune in Monday at 5PM to hear Iowa's own Red Cedar Chamber Music on Performance Today. The duo, Jan Boland, flute and John Dowdall, guitar, are joined by Iowa cellist Carey Bostian (that's him in the lower left of the photo; in the upper right is Carey's wife, violinist Miera Kim). They perform Gershwin - recorded live in Cedar Rapids. Also on the broadcast is Paul Watkins, the new cellist of the Emerson String Quartet, playing and conducting a CPE Bach cello concerto with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, and Valery Gergiev conducting the fabled Mariinsky Orchestra of St. Petersburg in the rarely heard Symphony no. 4 of Sergey Taneyev.
