Iowa Public Radio 80/35 Play-In Winner: Dylan Sires And Neighbors

80-35.com

Iowa Public Radio is very excited to be teaming up with the 80/35 Festival again this year- offering the opportunity for local and regional bands to play their way onto the main stage of the 80/35 Festival in July in Des Moines.  The winner of this year's IPR 80/35 Play In is the Waterloo/Cedar Falls based Dylan Sires And Neighbors.  They will play Saturday, July 6 at noon on the 80/35 main stage.  The other two finalists, Emperors Club and The Uniphonics (both from Iowa City) will play on the Hy Vee Triathalon Stage- one at 5:00 PM Friday and the other at 1:00 PM Saturday.  We were very impressed by the quality and the number of entries in the competition and the caliber of the studio performances in the semi-final round, as well as the great performances in the live finals at Wooly's in Des Moines.  Fans attending that show had an opportunity to cast their vote at the venue that night, and there was another round of on-line voting that closed June 11.  Votes cast at Wooly's and on-line listener votes were combined with the votes of our panel of judges.  Our judging panel consisted of two members of the 80/35 staff and two members of the Iowa Public Radio music staff.  Thanks to everyone who participated!  Congratulations to the IPR 80/35 Play In winner- Dylan Sires And Neighbors!
