Iowa Local Food and Farm Plan

Jan 18, 2011

Less than 15% of the food that Iowans eat is grown in Iowa. A lot of people want to change that. Host Charity Nebbe talks with Rich Pirog of the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture about a new report to the Iowa Legislature that lays out recommendations on ways to keep food grown in the state on Iowa's dinner tables. We also hear from Michelle Kenyon-Brown of the Johnson County Local Food Alliance and Andrew Dunham of Grinnell Heritage Farms.
