Hospice Care in Iowa: On the Rise, but Obstacles Persist

Half of all people who die in Iowa do so under hospice care. That's well above the national average, which makes sense for a state with an aging population. Yet as the hospice industry has boomed over the past decade, experts say patients and their families still face serious obstacles to getting the best end-of-life care.
