Homegrown Radio and Homegrown Music - live on October 22nd

Beverly and the Accordion

The Friends of KUNI are presenting an evening of live music on Thursday, October 22nd at Gingers on the Hill in Cedar Falls, with music from Peas and Carrot and Beverly and the Accordion. Denny McCabe of the Friends of KUNI says this is a listener appreciation event that's "in celebration of local radio, local music, local beer and local spirits."

Both Beverly and The Accordion and Peas and Carrot have become favorites in the Cedar Valley in a short amount of time, and each has taken folk and rock influences and gone in very different directions. They've also both performed live sessions in IPR's Studio One, and both are regularly heard on IPR's Studio One Tracks and Gas Money.

There will be a $5 charge at the door, and proceeds will benefit Iowa Public Radio. Doors will open at 6 pm, and music starts at 7. Find out more at Gingers' website. We hope to see you there!
