HEAR: ChamberFest Dubuque Live IPR Set!

michaelgilbertson.net

Listen below to a podcast of a live set from our studio Monday featuring four stellar young musicians from ChamberFest Dubuque.  Dubuque native Michael Gilbertson founded the festival in 2009; since then his compositions have won the Israel Prize and major awards from ASCAP and the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and have been performed by the Washington National Opera, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, and many other prestigious groups.

Joining Michael at IPR:

  • Jordan Dodson, whom Performance Today called "one of the top young guitarists of his generation";
  • Bridget Pasker, a Dubuque-raised, Juilliard-trained cellist now earning her Master's at San Francisco Conservatory; and
  • David Fung, an Australian pianist whose Carnegie debut was called "stylish and articulate" by the New York Times.

Here's a photo of the four in our Studio One with me. (I'm the one with the least hair and and the most IPR-logo clothing.)
