Second full-length album from indie "supergroup"
The members of Diamond Rugs all come to the project from established bands. Both guitarist/vocalist John McCauley and keyboard player Robbie Crowell are from Deer Tick. Ian St. Pe is the former guitarist for Black Lips. T. Hardy Morris (Dead Confederate), Bryan Dufresne (Six Finger Satellite) and Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) complete the lineup. Cosmetics is the second Diamond Rugs album, and the music therein could be called solid rock and roll with a touch of country. Or as described on their website- "bar band anthems." But what a bar band!
