The Fab Four and Rock & Roll as a Higher Power

Host Charity Nebbe looks at the Beatles phenomenon and why their music still resonates today with University of Iowa Professor Donna Parsons.  Parsons is a lecturer in music and honors and during the past 12 years she has spent her summers in England where she divides her time between research on the Beatles and the British music scene.  Then a conversation with David Nantais, a freelance writer and religion book reviewer for Publishers Weekly.  Nantais visists Iowa State University this week to talk about the intersection of Rock music and organized religion and explain why they have suffered a tense relationship for over sixty years.
