The Iowa Supreme Court’s new Chief Justice says the negative reaction to their ruling on same sex marriage now threatens to weaken the entire court system. Justice Mark Cady delivered the annual “Condition of the Judiciary” Wednesday at the statehouse. Iowa Public Radio’s Jeneane Beck reports Cady used the speech to defend the marriage ruling, but failed to dampen opposition.
