For Recovery Month 2010, the Powell Chemical Dependency Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines are presenting the play "Bill W. and Dr. Bob," from StageWest Theatre. The play is the story of the two men, Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith, who pioneered Alcoholics Anonymous, as well as the story of their wives, who founded Al Anon. We talk to Dr. David Kaptain, Program Manager of the Center and "Bob," a member of the 12-step community and an AA and Alanon historian.
