The cast of CROT's production of Verdi's "La Traviata" performs live in IPR's Cedar Falls studios.

Iowa Public Radio’s Studio One presented a sneak peek on Tuesday January 12th of the upcoming Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre’s weekend performances of Verdi’s La Traviata.

Our musical glimpse included Soprano Daniel Talamantes singing the role of Violetta, Tenor Jason Slayden portraying her lover Alfredo, Baritone Stephen Gaertner presenting Alfredo’s father, Germont, Mezzo Soprano Loralee Songer singing the role of Violetta’s friend Flora, Tenor Eric Ferring performing as Alfredo’s friend Gastone, and Soprano Erin Bryan portraying Violetta’s Maid, Annina. Dr. John Hollins performed at the Keyboard.
