Backers say Iowa is losing its position as a top biodiesel state. In January, a plant in Keokuk was put on the auction block. The U.S. Senate has voted to revive a biodiesel tax credit through 2010, but the Iowa legislature has rejected efforts to require diesel be blended with biodiesel.
