Arbor Day is a wonderful day to think about planting trees, but it’s also a good time to walk amongst beautiful trees and learn a little bit about the species that surround us.
On this edition of Talk of Iowa, Charity Nebbe celebrates Arbor Day with two tree experts - Jeff Iles, chair of the Horticulture Department at Iowa State University, and Iowa DNR District Forester Mark Vitosh. They discuss the many beautiful arboretums in Iowa and offer other places to go enjoy and learn about trees. They also talk about picking the right trees for your landscape, and of course, ISU horticulturist Richard Jauron joins to answer listener questions.
