IPR's Performance Iowa is excited to bring you a special Thanksgiving treat from the front lawn of Brucemore Mansion in Cedar Rapids. An encore of Orchestra Iowa's 95th season opener concert Brucemorechestra! With Mike Maas and Friends will be broadcast on Thursday, November 24 at 2 p.m.
In a celebration of Grant Wood’s 125th anniversary, the concert blends country, folk, and classical music and pays tribute to the great outdoors, art, and Iowa’s own unique heritage. The 9th annual outdoor show features brilliant works by Leroy Anderson, Copland, Mussorgsky, and Iowa’s own Michael Daugherty.
