Julie Agan Monson, a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Business Administration, is a long-time resident of Iowa City. Julie was employed at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from February 1984 to November 1999, working in the Human Resources area.
Julie’s volunteer activities have included being a school volunteer serving as a classroom volunteer, PTA President and member, and parent volunteer for her daughter’s extracurricular activities while her daughters were in school. They have now graduated and her school volunteer days have come to a close.
Julie’s community activities include serving as the United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties Campaign for the Common Good Co-Chair for the 2015 to 2016 campaign. The campaign raised 2.2 million dollars to benefit local service agencies. Julie is currently a member of the United Way Community Impact Council, the group that reviews and makes funding allocation decisions for the monies raised in the Campaign.
Julie is in her third and final year as a board member of the Iowa City Public Library’s Friends Foundation, which works in conjunction with the library to raise funds to enhance and support the library services.
Julie has also been an active member of several committees at her church working in many different service ministries. Julie has three daughters, and she and her husband Kevin reside in Iowa City.
