"Night Music" features the best new alternative and independent music, blues, world music, singer-songwriters, and local/regional music. Hosts Al Schares, Mark Simmet and Bob Dorr offer their mix of essential music or "music that matters."

Be listening to each "Night Music" program for the "CD of the Month," a recording which we consider so special that it will be spotlighted throughout the month. It may be a hot new release, or a recent re-release, or an older CD that is not commonly found, but worthy of revisiting.

You can hear "Night Music" Sundays-Thursdays at 7:00 PM on Iowa Public Radio's Studio One network. Broadcast stations include the KUNI frequencies (KDMR, KDWI, KDUB, KUNI, KUNY, KRNI).
