Welcome to the Wellmark 80/35 Play In, presented by IPR’s Studio One!

From more than 80 entries from across the great state of Iowa, our crack committee has narrowed the field to eight semi finalists. Now it’s time for you, the fans, to decide who moves on to the finals on June 21! The winner of the Play In will play the 80/35 Wellmark Main Stage at noon on Saturday, July 7.

 Now, it's time for you, the fan, to help decide who will be our Play In finalists! You will have until May 25 at 11:59 p.m. to cast your vote for your favorite semi-final performance. The top three rated performances will advance to the finals.

Finals

Finalists Announced: May 31
We'll announce the bands with the top three average online rankings LIVE at 7:35 p.m. on IPR's Studio One. Be the first to know — click here to find a station in your area or listen online! 

Finals: June 21
The three finalists will battle it out in front of a LIVE audience at the Gas Lamp in Des Moines:

Doors open at 6 p.m., showdown begins at 7 p.m. Each finalist will play one set (lineup to be randomly determined). Cover is $5. 

Can't make it to Des Moines? IPR will also broadcast live from the event, and we'll post audio and video by noon the next day. Click here to find a station in your area or listen online! 

Final Voting: June 22 - June 24
Fans can cast their votes in person at the Play In finals. In addition, the final performances will be posted here on June 22. Fans can then rate each performance online. 

Winner Announced: July 2

80/35: July 6-7
The winner of the Play In will play the Wellmark Main Stage at noon on Saturday, July 7. The second and third place winners will each play a set on one of the free stages July 6 and July 7. Don't have your tickets to 80/35 yet? What are you thinking? Get them now!
