Kenwood Park Neighborhood Association will host its Annual Ice Cream Social on Monday, July 17, 2017. The event will be held at Kenwood Park (at the corner of 35th St. and Zach Johnson Dr. NE). In case of rain, the event will be moved to Kenwood Park United Methodist Church (175 34th Street NE). The menu will include hot dogs, chips, drink, ice cream and homemade dessert. Sponsors for the event include Hy-Vee Food Stores, New Century Tents and Elmcrest Country Club. The social begins at 5:00 p.m. and continues until 7:00 p.m. The event is free to the public, but free will donations are accepted. There will be yard games such as the “famous KPNA” tug-of-war and ring toss, etc. and prizes. Face painting and balloons will there for the children. Representatives of the Police and Fire Departments will be there. Anyone interested in volunteering to serve or help with games contact Erica Yoder (KPNA President) at 369-4810. We also need people to donate homemade desserts. Bring an old worn flag and get a brand new one. Proceeds go to support the Kenwood Park Neighborhood Association and improvements to Kenwood Park. This is a great way to meet your neighbors and see old friends. Bring the whole family and a friend or two.
